After your work on question words, it's time to tackle a very important matter - conjugation of regular verbs in the present tense. This is so important because there are many verbs which follow the same three patterns so this will multiply by 100,000 the number of sentences you can make in Spanish . Ask your teacher for a bit of an explanation if you need it.
Now that you have learnt how to conjugate regular verbs in the present tense, look how many common verbs follow this pattern. I don't suggest you sit and learn every verb now, but take note of how many important verbs there are that are regular, and certainly learn some of them:
Make a presentation to talk about what you like to do at the weekend or during the holidays. Talk about what other people do as well - this will ensure that you get to use different conjugations, not just 'yo'. Just use REGULAR verbs for now (verbs that follow the patterns) - the easiest way is to pick from the 60 that you have seen on quizlet. Just put NO before the verb to say what you DON'T do. Or you can put NUNCA before the verb to mean NEVER.
This video gives you some useful questions but it doesn't go into the details of the question formation yet:
Think of all the crazy sentences you can make by putting together what you have learnt - (a) how to conjugate regular verbs, (b) all the infinitives of common regular verbs and (c) all the words you have learnt in previous lessons and (d) a LITTLE use of the dictionary (word reference - NOT Google translate).
To translate the following questions into Spanish you need to put together your knowledge of:
the question words
the conjugation of regular verbs
the 61 common regular verbs from the quizlet.
